We went from talking about buying a house in Merida over dinner one night, to making an offer two weeks later on a short house-hunting trip. After checking multiple web-sites for what was available we contacted Yury by e-mail. She responded promptly and over the course of a week, we worked out a list of houses to see. Despite the fact that we hadn’t decided whether we wanted a fixer-upper or a turn-key colonial (or something in-between), Yury succeeded in finding us our perfect home in Merida (which of course was unlike any of the houses we had put on our list). Yury is a pleasure to work with; she is punctual, professional, and candid. Although we ended up purchasing a renovated home, Yury has a great eye for seeing the potential in a fixer-upper when you are overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs to be done. It’s just part of her contagious enthusiasm for life in Merida and showing her clients the amazing variety of both classic and modern homes available. She made our purchasing a house in Mexico a terrific experience.
