Lonely Planet Spotlights Merida

Posted on November 2, 2016 by Yury Diana Di Pasquale in Touring Yucatan

Recently, the Lonely Planet writer John Hecht, spotlighted Merida in a column titled “Culture, Cuisine and Ancient Ruins: 48 Hours in Merida”.

Besides the lovely photos of colonial buildings, museum pieces, those afore-mentioned ancient ruins like Chichen Itza and more, John writes about how to get the most out of Merida if you only have two days.

He includes a visit to Chichen Itza, and how to get there as efficiently as possible. He recommends some restaurants, such as Manjar Blanco. And he outlines a few of the highlights to see in downtown Merida.
